Save the tab you’re reading, or bring useful links out of your bookmarks and tab groups. Find them later in your library or a connected ChatGPT or Claude conversation.
Add the extension, then connect it to your CaptureMem account.
Already using an unpacked installation? Extract the updated package, replace the files in the same folder Chrome already loads, then click Reload for CaptureMem in chrome://extensions. This keeps your connection settings; you do not need to remove the extension. Use version 1.4.2 for reliable Save to Library feedback, the stable popup, paste-link field, help guide, and import tools. Updating the website does not update an unpacked installation automatically.
On the store product page, choose Add to Chrome and confirm the installation.
Open the extension’s Connection settings and choose Connect to CaptureMem. Confirm the account you’re already signed into in this Chrome profile. Your connection is ready without copying a credential.
Manage your connectionsPin CaptureMem in Chrome’s Extensions menu. On a webpage, click its icon and choose Save to Library. Desktop Chrome only; use the Shortcut for iPhone.
The extension sends only the URLs you choose to save or import. Browser titles and folder names stay local. Your capture credential stays in local extension storage.
Read the privacy policyOpen CaptureMem from Chrome’s toolbar. The popup includes a How to save links guide, so the instructions are always close by.
On a webpage, click the CaptureMem icon and choose Save to Library. The guide shows your assigned keyboard shortcut, or explains how to set one in Chrome’s extension shortcut settings.
Copy a web link from a message, document, or another browser. Paste one HTTP or HTTPS URL into Or paste a link, then choose Save pasted link or press Enter. You do not need to open that URL first. CaptureMem does not automatically read your clipboard.
Saved and Already saved confirm the result. A failed save keeps the original link ready to retry. For phone sharing, use the device setup instructions; this extension runs in desktop Chrome.
Set up sharing on your devicesChoose links from your Chrome bookmarks or open tab groups without changing either.
In the extension popup, choose Add from Tab Groups or Add from Bookmarks. Choose Allow access to let that picker read its source. Tab groups include your open Chrome windows; open any closed saved groups in Chrome first.
Search, pick individual links, or select a whole group or bookmark folder, including its nested folders. Review your selection, then choose Import selected. Only those URLs are sent. Folder and group names help you choose; they do not become CaptureMem collections.
Follow the Saved, Already saved, Failed, and Remaining counts. You can stop after the current link and retry remaining links. Closing or reloading the tab clears its progress view. Changing the connected account stops the queue; a link already being sent may still finish in the original account.
Saved means the link is in your library. Summaries and automatic organization follow as CaptureMem processes accessible sources. Importing a link you already saved does not create another copy.
