Terms of service

Your account and agreement

These terms form an agreement between you and the operator of CaptureMem, referred to here as “CaptureMem,” “we,” or “us.” Contact us at nick@whitegloveai.com. By accepting these terms when creating an account or purchasing a plan, you agree to them. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to bind it.

You must be legally able to enter this agreement and provide accurate account information. Keep your password and connection credentials secure. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account; tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. A connection you approve can access the permissions shown during setup until it expires or you revoke it.

You can recover an email-and-password account through Forgot password. If you use Google sign-in, you can continue signing in with Google. Never send us your password, capture token, or an API key by email.

Your library and source material

You retain your rights in your notes, uploaded material, and other original content. You give CaptureMem the permission needed to store, retrieve, process, summarize, display, and export that material to provide the features you use. This includes using the service providers described in our Privacy notice and sharing results with assistants you explicitly connect.

Saving a link does not transfer ownership of the linked page, repository, image, or video. Third-party content and software keep their own licenses and terms. Only submit material you are entitled to use, and respect copyright, privacy, and access restrictions. CaptureMem does not give you a license to redistribute someone else’s content or guarantee that a source will remain available.

Your private library is not a marketing contact list for brands. CaptureMem does not sell your saved links, notes, or Chrome extension data to advertisers or brands. Connecting an assistant is your choice and gives it only the access described at authorization.

If you publish a library, you instruct CaptureMem to display the profile, folders, and source details you include on a public page. You are responsible for what you publish and must not use a public profile or description to impersonate someone, infringe rights, distribute unlawful material, or mislead visitors. You can keep individual folders private or turn public sharing off. Other signed-in members may add or remove one star from your public profile; stars are an expression of interest and do not imply endorsement by CaptureMem.

Subscriptions and payment

CaptureMem Unlimited costs $20 USD per month. It includes unlimited ordinary saved links, collections, and tags, together with the available organization and retrieval features. Each paid subscription month includes 120 processing credits under the credit rules below. There is no separate per-link capture charge.

When paid signup is available, Stripe Checkout shows your price, any applicable discount, tax, and renewal terms before you confirm payment. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge the payment method you provide for the first period and automatically each month until you cancel. Any promotion applies only for the period stated at checkout; after it ends, the subscription renews at the disclosed regular price.

Keep your payment method current using Manage billing. Failed, overdue, or canceled payment status can stop new captures, paid processing, and connected-assistant access. Ordinary subscription expiry leaves your existing library available to read and export. A payment return page is not confirmation of payment; access begins when the payment is confirmed.

Invited, complimentary, or preview access does not create a paid subscription. Features marked as coming soon, in preview, or unavailable may need additional setup and are not activated by a payment alone. In particular, audio and video processing and credit purchases are available only when enabled in the app. Plans for third-party assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude are separate from your CaptureMem subscription.

Cancel whenever you need to

Open Manage billing and choose the cancellation option in the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal and normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You can continue using the paid features until the end date shown in your account, unless access is suspended for another reason.

Once that period ends, new captures, processing, and connected-assistant access stop. You can still sign in to read and export your saved library. Uninstalling the extension, removing the iPhone Shortcut, revoking an assistant connection, or signing out does not cancel a subscription.

If you cannot access the portal, email nick@whitegloveai.com from your account email address for help canceling. Closing your account is a separate action described below and ends access immediately.

Refunds and billing problems

Canceling a subscription stops future renewal; it does not automatically refund the current paid billing period. Contact nick@whitegloveai.com for duplicate or incorrect charges, processing failures, or other refund requests. We review requests individually. Include your account email, the date and amount of the charge, and a brief explanation. Do not send full payment-card details.

A full refund of the current subscription period or an unresolved payment dispute can pause paid features. A partial subscription refund does not by itself end paid access. Your existing library remains available to read and export unless the account is separately closed or suspended.

Processing credits are not money and cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash. A refund or payment reversal can remove the credits from that purchase; if those credits have already been used, additional processing can be paused until the balance is resolved. Any refund or cancellation rights you have under applicable law continue to apply. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.

Processing credits

Ordinary link saving and filing do not spend processing credits. When media processing is enabled, audio transcription uses one credit per started minute. A video of at most 60 seconds and 100 MB uses up to five credits: one for speech and four for on-screen text. You confirm the limit before processing starts. Merely saving a media link does not start paid processing.

The 120 included credits become available for a confirmed paid subscription month and expire at that month’s billing-period end. They do not roll over. When top-ups are available, a one-time $10 USD purchase adds 120 credits that carry forward while your account remains open. A top-up does not renew your subscription or restore expired paid access; using credits still requires an eligible active account and enabled processing.

CaptureMem reserves the credits you approve, then settles the amount for completed processing and releases unused reservations. A failed stage may release its credits while successful stages remain charged. A job whose provider outcome is uncertain can keep a reservation pending review to prevent duplicate charges. Your credit history shows balances and activity.

Use the service responsibly

Do not use CaptureMem for unlawful activity, harassment, fraud, malicious content, or infringement of others’ rights. Do not attempt to access another person’s library, bypass authentication or a paywall, evade credit or processing limits, distribute access credentials, or disrupt the service with abusive automated requests.

“Unlimited” refers to ordinary personal or authorized team use of saved links, not unlimited compute, storage of arbitrary files, bulk scraping, or permission to resell access. We may apply reasonable rate and safety limits to keep the service available and prevent abuse. Where practical, we will explain a restriction and how to resolve it.

AI results and external services

Summaries, suggested folders, transcripts, on-screen text, and extracted links can be incomplete or incorrect. Check the original source before relying on a result. These outputs are organizational aids and are not professional advice or an assurance about a product, repository, license, or person. Private, deleted, restricted, blurry, or rapidly changing sources may not be readable.

Named-tool discovery uses readable source quotations and OpenAI web search to suggest up to three repository or app destinations for each identified name, subject to processing and lookup limits. Its scores describe matching evidence, not a statistical probability. CaptureMem may automatically save a verified primary match only when it has an exact name match and supporting citations, scores at least 95/100, and leads the next candidate by at least 15 points. Other suggestions require your review. An address check or high score does not establish a product’s safety, quality, ownership or suitability. Personal notes and account metadata are excluded from these lookups, as described in the Privacy notice.

CaptureMem is independent of OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Apple, and the third-party websites you save. Product names identify compatible services; they do not imply endorsement. Those services can change their availability, access requirements, and terms. We do not control their content or what a connected assistant does with information you authorize it to receive.

Export, account closure, and retention

Before closing an account, export your library using Export JSON in the library’s import dialog. Moving a link to Trash or archiving it is reversible and does not permanently delete the account.

Use Close account to submit an account-deletion request. Confirming disables your account access and revokes your connections immediately. We then cancel recurring billing and remove the account and saved library after any paid processing that is already underway is resolved. Closure is intended to be permanent; it ends access to any remaining paid period and unused credits and does not automatically issue a refund.

We retain the minimum billing, credit, and audit records needed for accounting, payment adjustments, security, and legal obligations. Provider records and backups may remain subject to their retention controls. Closing CaptureMem cannot remove information already copied into an assistant conversation or exported elsewhere. We may suspend access for security risks, nonpayment, or a material violation of these terms. If we permanently discontinue a paid service you purchased, we will explain the end date, provide a reasonable opportunity to export where feasible, and address unused prepaid service and any required refund rights.

Service availability and responsibility

We work to keep CaptureMem useful and available, but cannot promise uninterrupted service, error-free AI output, or permanent availability of an external source. Keep exports of information you cannot afford to lose. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available, without additional implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the extent permitted by law, CaptureMem is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or business opportunities arising from your use of the service. This exclusion does not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. These terms do not remove mandatory consumer protections or remedies.
