Ask ChatGPT about what you saved.
Your links, notes, and completed transcripts can become context for a conversation. Connect once, then ask for the original source.
Open ChatGPT’s plugin settings.
Start in ChatGPT on the web. In Settings → Security and login, turn on Developer mode. Then open Plugins and choose the + button.
Open ChatGPT PluginsThis is a custom connection you add to your own account. CaptureMem is not listed in the public plugin directory.
Connect your CaptureMem library.
Name it CaptureMem. For the description, use “Search my saved links, collections, and notes.” Under Connection, enter this public server address:
Choose OAuth authentication and create the connection. Sign in to your CaptureMem account and approve read access. Review the discovered tools when you return to ChatGPT.
You do not need an OpenAI API key or a Capture only credential. This connection can read your library; it cannot add links, change notes, or spend audio credits.
ChatGPT asks for OAuth client settings.
Choose dynamic client registration (DCR) if asked. CaptureMem registers a public client automatically; no client secret is needed. If a scope field is shown, use
library:read offline_access. If your workspace requires a different authentication method, ask its administrator to allow this connection.Ask for a link you remember.
Start a new chat. From the composer’s + menu, choose Developer mode and select CaptureMem. Try a topic you have already saved:

Compare the answer with your library. ChatGPT can search saved sources and retrieve their details, including a completed audio transcript when one exists.

I do not see Developer mode or the + button.
OpenAI currently lists developer-mode access on the web for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Education accounts. Workspace policies can restrict it. Check your account and ask your administrator if the option is missing.

Confirm CaptureMem is selected in the chat and connected to the same account you use to save. Search for an exact saved name first. In ChatGPT’s plugin settings, refresh the connection’s tools or reconnect if access has expired.
How do I disconnect ChatGPT?
Remove or disconnect CaptureMem in ChatGPT. To revoke access from CaptureMem, open Settings & connections and revoke the MCP: credential for that connection.
